Contrary to popular belief, there is actually a park in Hyacinth. Lost somewhere in the middle of the forest of concrete and fibreglass buildings there is a small area which is clear of high rise apartments, although it is surrounded by them. It just may be the only little patch of grass and plants in the entire city, but nobody seems to really care about it, except its care taker, building developers and the children. Midst the garden beds and trees there is a small playground which the children who live in the surrounding areas just adore.
However, the park is not so hard to find if you’re looking from above. That is how Azrael came to be here, in the shade of a tree, leaning against its trunk.
He was watching the children.
They were climbing all over the play equipment, running, swinging, sliding and laughing. And the angel abomination was watching them from under his hood, not moving and hidden from sight behind some bushes. He was watching what he had missed out on.
But he did not frown, and he did not sigh; he just watched.
