Blaze landed lightly on the doorstep to the great Library, his shiny purple orbs floating around his mid-torso. He sighed, the cold air around him seemed almost completely unbearable.
Blaze reached forwards and turned the door handle to the left and pushed. The great door swung open with a deep murring sound and he walked in. Bowing his head in greeting to the librarians, Blaze continued to his favourite section - Aziath History.
He muffled a cough behind his hand as he chose a book from the dusty, barely used pile of his favourites. Blaze then turned sharply to his usual chair and sat down with a small 'poof'.

There was a soft tinkling, like the chiming of tiny little bells, and a flutter of wings, coming form somewhere above Blaze’s head. Then a small shower of purple and pink sparkles started to fall down onto him, disappearing as soon as they touched his hair. There was a soft giggle.
“Oooo… what’s that you’re reading?” a high pitched voice asked.

Blaze had barely begun reading the book when he heard the small fairy appear above him. He smiled kindly and looked up to her, "A book on history. Not that many, besides myself would find this topic interesting." He replied, in a softer than usual tone.

"History?" she asked with a quizzical look of her face. She flew down and around his head then hovered just infront of his book.
"Is it the history of Faries? Faries like Xu? Or is it Angels?" she flew around the book in circles.
"What is it what is it what is it? Huh huh huh huh?" she squeaked, now hovering behind the book with her hands placed on it's top edge.

"No, the history of Aziath. It's creation, it's past and even parts of the present." He replied with a chuckle at the fairy's curiousity. Blaze smiled, "Now, what is a young fairy like you doing in such a large library? Can you even read the books here?" He asked in a kinder, softer tone so as not to upset her.

"Is there any Faries in it?" she asked, looking up at him from her place behind his book's cover while resting her crossed over arms on the edge of the book.
"Ur... well, Xu can't actually read very well... Xu just came here to make some friends!' she told him, smiling. "How many friends do you have? Xu has lots of friends, well at least used to, but Xu left them all behind. They weren't that good a friends anyway. Xu also had friends here but they never want to call her or hang out with her so Xu neeeeds to make some more. Will you be Xu's friend?" she said all in one breath.

Blaze hesitated a little. "Uh, sure, I'll be your friend." he said awkwardly. Friend, ugh. Blaze had never really had any true friends. He's always alone in the library with his books.
He sighed. "Oh, yeah there are faries in here. But they aren't mentioned too much."

"Yay! A brand new friend, all for Xu! Now she finally has someone to talk to!" she said, her eyes curving upwards while giving a cheesy smile.
But when he said then next thing her face fell. "What? Not much about Faeries? Why? That's so unfair. Faries are the best, were the most fun to be with and were always nice to people. We should be in more books!" she told him. "If there's no Faries then what is there? Stupid cat people? They shouldn't be in there; they're practically human. In Xu's opinion there should be more Faries. Do you like Faries? Oh wait, that's a silly question, of course you do, otherwise you wouldn't want to be Xu's friend. Do you like the Angels? Xu thinks they're okay, though there a bit up themselves. Do you like cat people? Xu doesn't like them because one tried to catch her and put her in a bottle. Xu didn't like that one bit!" the continued to prattle on for a while.

"Xu? Is it?" Blaze paused, "There are plenty of books in here about the life and history of faries. I've already gone through that section. Believe me, there is a lot there." he said calmly. "Cat people? I have only seen one. And that was all but a glimpse down in Lynfa." he answered.

"Oh... Xu sees now." She put her finger to her chin and seemed to think for a moment. "Too bad Xu can't read. But she'll take your word for it, book boy." she gave a high pitched giggle and launched herself up over the book. Turning over she ended up hanging upside down in the air in front of him.
"Yes, but do you LIKE them? Xu bets you do, since they probably didn't try to catch you in a bottle, your too big. But don't think they'd give up the chance if they had a bigger bottle, oh no! So you'd better watch out. Them silly cat people, they want to keep everything that's pretty looking to themselves. That's why they wanted to catch Xu, obviously, since she's the prettiest Fairy in the forest."
"... where do you live?" she finally finished.

Blaze sighed silently, "I live in a volcano." He replied, knowing it'd be way too hot for any other than the likes of him to enter there... Well, that he knew of.
"And it's far too hot for a fairy such as yourself to go there," he thought hed better tell her, just incase she tried to visit and would be instantly turned to ash.

"A volcano? Wow! Is it like one of those big tall ones that looks like a mountain at first glance but then it goes A'SPLODE and all the red and orange stuff fly's out everywhere? That is so coooooool." she said, now sitting on the top edge of his book, still retaining her grin.
But when he told her she couldn't come the smile faded. "What? Too hot? Oh well, if Xu can't go and visit you that's ok, we can always meet up here in Angel land to talk and do things together. We could go shopping and go to the movies... hey, whats you favorite movie? Xu likes that one with all the BAM BAM, BAM BAM BAM BANG BANG KABOOOOSH!!!!! Y'know?" she threw her tiny arms up in the air.

Blaze sat there a little stunned. She DOES know I'm a bit old to be seen with such a young fairy at the movies, right? He thought, thinking about Aziathan laws.
Blaze shrugged. "I don't usually go to the movies anyway, I always thought of that as a couple thing." he replied with a sort of smirk.

"Huh?" she said, looking surprised. "A couples thing? Xu thought thats what friends did together; go and see movies and go shopping and play games and stuff. Anyway, couples is just yucky, with all that kissing and cuddling... bleh. Xu just thought that we could see a movie as friends, maybe on of those BAM BAM, whoosh, KABOOM movies, with the loud noises and people jumping all over the place."
"But if you don't want to go to the movies that's cool, we can always just do something else or even sit and talk. What do you like to talk about? Xu likes to talk about many things, like animals and flying and clothing and movies and lots of things! What's you favorite animal?"

Blaze grinned, "That's easy. A tiger, of course. I am, myself Were-Tiger." He paused momentarily, "I also enjoy talking about animals and flying. But I also have an obsession with orbs." Blaze chucked kindly and watched his purple orbs float around him.

"Oooh... a were-tiger eh? Is that like a were-wolf, except more stripy? Xu likes tigers too, but she especially likes butterflys. Xu often enjoys flying around with them and playing with them. Hey, do you have any other tiger or were-tiger friends that Xu can meet? Xu always likes to make new friends."
She looked up at his orbs. "Ooooh... they're pretty. They remind Xu of a necklace she once had, but she lost it somewhere where she can't remember," she sighed. "But anyway... what's you name book boy?"

"No, unfortunately I do not know of any others." He replied, but smiled.
"My name is Blaze." He answered, and closed the book in his lap. It seemed as if he wasnt going to be able to read it today. His new 'friend' Xu didn't seem to want to shut up.

When he put the book down she had to quickly take to the air, once again hovering in front of him. "Hello there Blaze, Xu is happy to meet you. Xu's full name is Xuleika, but everybody just calls her Xu, because it's quicker to say." she explained, swaying from side to side.
She started sucking at her bottom lip. "So you don't want to read any more? Does that mean you want to come and do something with Xu?" her face genuinely lit up. "Hey, Xu's hungry, are you hungry? Xu knows this awesome Pizza place in town that even makes little pizza's for Faires like Xu. Lets go there!" she exclaimed, punching a fist up in the air.

Blaze shook his head when he was asked if he didn't want to read.
"Sure," he answered and stood up slowly, making sure he, nor his orbs whacked the already hyped fairy around the head.
"Lead the way."

"YAY!" The small fairy started flying off towards the exit of the library, but then suddenly turned back, looped once around his head and then went back to going towards the exit. "What's your favorite kind of pizza? Xu likes Ham and pineapple, which is also sometimes known as Hawaiian pizza, which I think is some place on that other planet, Earth." she whizzed out the door into the sunlight.
